The Great Smoky Mountain Railroad Railfest Mountain Craft Fair A Festival Celebrating Arts and Crafts of the Western North Carolina Mountains 2008—Scheduled for September 19 — 21.
Every year railroad enthusiasts and history buffs from around the world gather in Bryson City for the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad's Railfest. Headliners for Railfest 2007 included the locomotives visiting from the NC Trans-portation Museum and Catch the Spirit of Appalachia's local entertainment with the third annual Children's Talent Show.
General Information: In the upcoming 6th year, the Mountain Craft Fair section of the upcoming 2008 GSMRR Railfest will be Saturday from 9am until 5pm, and on Sunday from 9am until 4pm. "The deadline for entries in the Mountain Craft Fair is June 20, 2008," says Catch the Spirit of Appalachia, who is coordinating the fair for GSMRR. Mountain Youth Talent Contest on the entertainment stage in the GSMRR Depot area of Bryson City, NC on Saturday, September 20, 2008during the 5rd Annual Mountain Craft Show.
